Our Staff is what separates us from any other school in the area.

Our teachers take martial arts VERY seriously and have attained hard earned ranks and titles in the martial arts world.

Minimum age for Black Belt is 18 years of age.

Our staff are the only ones in the area with ranks recognized worldwide and they meet the highest standards available.

THE highest ranked instructor in the area. 4 time Canadian, 2 times North American Heavyweight Ju-Jitsu Champion, 2 time winner Arnold Schwarzenegger classic (world’s largest martial arts tournament), winner of Extreme Fighting Championships Mixed Martial arts, also member of Canadian Karate Team,World Championships, Okinawa Japan, 1997

Colin Heitman—Canadian Jujitsu Champion (180lb)

7th place World Ju-jitsu Championships, 2nd degree Black Belt Karate and Ju-Jitsu.

Nicole Fenwick -Canadian Jujitsu Champion, Ladies heavyweight

5th place World Ju-jitsu Championships, 1st degree Black Belt Karate and Ju-Jitsu.

Anneliese Reckewitz

Member of our school since 1992, has won dozens of ladies Ju-Jitsu titles, in Canada and the U.S.A.

Sofie Winkels - 1st degree black belt.

Lisa Manini - 1st degree black belt

Winner of numerous self defence and karate titles.

Sensei Shah Franco - Brazilian Jujitsu instructor at Barton's

Sensei Franco is world renowned and runs his own very successful school in Toronto and trains many Champions, Sensei Franco represents Professor Sylvio Behring of Behring Progressive Jujitsu, Brazil.

We have several other brown and black belts that teach on occasion as well and are all very qualified,the high skill level of our staff is what makes Barton’s the place to train.
